What sort of Heating Services does HLA services provide?
We provide commercial and industrial Heating Services, which could be to a small retail unit customer with one system up to a multi-site manufacturing customer with individual sites with very unique heating requirements. We design, install, service and main all commercial heating systems.

Why do customers choose HLA for heating?
I could go on forever, but here’s my shorter answer.
The capability to offer a full turnkey solution across the 13 services we deliver as a business means we have the infrastructure and professional expertise in-house.
We’re knowledgeable due to our vast experience and the fact that we’re in constant contact with the majority of leading heating manufacturers. We make it our job to keep up to speed on the latest products, technology and emerging trends so customers often look to us for around the edge advice. We’re flexible with installation and maintenance and we’re not tied to a particular manufacturer, which means we can help customers find the best solution that’s right for their specification.

In 2015 we invested £50,000 in training and new technology which includes a new service management portal. This gives HLA customers real time information on everything from contracts to individual job progress.

What do you think the contracts support team is particularly good at?
The team is good at adapting responses to customers’ specific requirements. The office-based contracts support team (or we like to call them the contracts hub) have over 100 years collective experience and work well to each others’ strengths to deliver excellent customer service.

The team’s hard working ethic, and excellent chemistry and responsiveness with customers and colleagues is second to none. Add the management portal to this and you’ve got the winning formula for success.

What sort/any new types of legislation should Facilities, Maintenance and Procurement Managers be aware of when it comes to heating?
It’s a corporate responsibility for organisations to ensure their heating systems perform to current standards and to a safe condition. HLA’s mobile engineers are Gas Safe and OFTEC Registered and as a company we support CPD and statutory legal training provided by HSE.
