HLA Services recently completed a full plantroom refurbishment at Durham Cricket Club, delivering a modern, energy-efficient heating solution designed to enhance system performance, reliability, and long-term operational efficiency.
The project involved the complete strip-out of the existing plantroom infrastructure, including boilers, water heater, and flue dilution system. Our team then designed and installed a fully upgraded plantroom tailored to meet the client’s current and future requirements.
Key Works Completed
- Plantroom strip-out – Safe removal and disposal of existing boilers, water heater, and flue dilution system
- Boiler installation – Supply and installation of 3 x 150kW high-efficiency AIC boilers to improve system performance and energy efficiency
- Controls and electrical upgrades – Installation of a new BMS control panel, distribution board, gas interlock system, and upgraded plantroom lighting
- Heating system improvements – Installation of new pumps and control valves to each heating zone, providing enhanced control and operational efficiency
- Domestic hot water upgrade – Supply and installation of a new 1000-litre DHW cylinder to meet site demand
- Flue system design – Design and installation of a new flue system compatible with the upgraded plant
- Plantroom refurbishment – Full internal decoration including wall finishes and painted flooring for a clean, professional environment
- Commissioning and handover – Complete system testing, commissioning, and client handover ensuring optimal performance from day one
