What sort of Plumbing does HLA services provide?
We deliver day to day responsive Plumbing maintenance work including call outs for burst pipes, blockages, flooding and water heaters. We also undertake lots of regular servicing work.
Any recent or common problems or challenges which businesses face on a regular basis?
Not really – all our customers know who to call for what services.
HLA Services are an Approved Contractor registered with WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) which means HLA:
(a) has been approved by the water undertaker for the area where a water fitting is installed or used, or
(b) has been certified as an approved contractor by an organization specified in writing by the regulator.
Gary Logan is a member of The Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) is the professional body for the UK Plumbing and heating industry.
The CIPHE provide lots of resources which enables me as a Manager to undertake Regular Toolbox talks and training with our team. Gary is a Registered Plumbing Professional with the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering, allowing Gary to again self-certify Plumbing works.
How does HLA keep up to speed with changes in legislation and training in Plumbing?
Continued CPD. Actually, I’ve never worked at a company that does so much training for its staff as HLA.
We invest heavily in training and all of maintenance plumbers are registered with the WRAS approval scheme.

If you could use one sentence to describe what it’s like to work at HLA what would it be?
It’s good to work for a company that has technical expertise and backup across all departments.
